Common mistakes that cost marks
- Calculating case fatality on the last week only (7 / 96) instead of the whole outbreak.
- Limiting the campaign to children under 5 when half the cases are aged 5 to 14.
- Forgetting the wastage factor or applying 15% by multiplying by 1.15 instead of dividing by 0.85.
- Forgetting vitamin A for all measles cases.
- Interpreting mortality rates without comparing them with emergency thresholds.
