Documents provided
| Site | Newly arrived households | Households with access to at least 15 L per person per day | Functional latrines | Children aged 6 to 59 months screened | MUAC < 125 mm | of which < 115 mm |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Site A | 1,240 | 410 | 62 | 980 | 147 | 39 |
| Site B | 860 | 190 | 18 | 610 | 116 | 34 |
| Site C | 1,520 | 880 | 95 | 1,150 | 115 | 23 |
| Site D | 680 | 70 | 6 | 470 | 89 | 31 |
Average household size: 6 people. The screening was carried out by community health teams in accessible households; it is not a representative survey.
- Site A: water trucking by a partner NGO (8 L per person per day); hygiene kits planned.
- Site B: no water or nutrition actor; emergency latrines not started.
- Site C: borehole rehabilitated by our organisation; mobile outpatient nutrition programme 2 days a week; 40 latrines under construction (our organisation).
- Site D: no actor. Flood-prone track, 50 minutes' drive from the base, no telephone network.
Our organisation works in water and sanitation in sites A and C. The donor is considering additional funding.
"A two-person delegation from the donor is coming on Thursday, from 8:00 to 11:00 in the field. By Wednesday I need a one-page note (350 words maximum), a visit programme and five key messages. The communications officer suggests visiting only site C, which is more presentable and safer, and having the delegation meet mothers of children with severe malnutrition for photos. Security: two sites maximum, back at the base before 12:30. Travel times from the base: C 10 min, B 15 min, A 20 min, D 50 min; between B and C: 15 min."
Result
0 out of 100
Mark each answer honestly against the panel's grid: the total is calculated automatically.
Common mistakes that cost marks
- Presenting MUAC screening as a prevalence of malnutrition.
- Ranking the sites on a single indicator.
- Writing a note longer than one page, or without a precise request to the donor.
- Scheduling site D in a 3-hour visit.
- Agreeing to show only the most presentable site or to organise photos of families in distress.
