Organisation policy: shared costs are allocated each month among the active grants in proportion to the full-time equivalents (FTE) of direct programme staff. The share that a donor does not accept is covered by own funds; it is never transferred to another grant.
| Grant | Sector | End | Programme FTE | Remaining budget for shared costs | Donor rule |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| A | Water and sanitation | 31/03/2027 | 6 | 24,000 | All shared lines are eligible, in proportion to FTE |
| B | Health | 31/12/2026 | 9 | 16,000 | All shared lines are eligible, in proportion to FTE |
| C | Protection | 30/06/2027 | 5 | 15,000 | Only shared salaries (finance and logistics) are eligible, in proportion to FTE |
No new grant has been signed to date. Each grant's FTE remain stable until it ends.
"B ends in December and still has money left. Charge 60% of the November and December shared costs to B: that will take the pressure off A and our own funds."
Result
0 out of 100
Mark each answer honestly against the panel's grid: the total is calculated automatically.
Common mistakes that cost marks
- Keeping the November keys after the end of B or A.
- Transferring C's ineligible share to A or B.
- Adding up the remaining budgets without seeing that B's surplus cannot fill the others' deficits.
- Agreeing to over-charge B to use up its budget.
- Proposing only to "look for funds" without any action on the cost structure.
