Common mistakes that cost marks
- Using the simple average of the exchange rates instead of the weighted average rate.
- Converting expenditure at the spot rate or at the forecast rate of 4,000.
- Leaving the reception for the authorities on the project, or calculating indirect costs on it.
- Committing the kits overspend without the donor's prior written approval.
- Proposing to fund the overspend by reducing assistance to households without saying so.
- Requesting funds without deducting the available cash or checking the remaining budget.
