Original practice test, built on the format of written tests used by United Nations agencies and international NGOs. The context and figures are fictitious.
Documents provided
- Curfew for all vehicles: no movement before 06:30 or after 17:30.
- Mandatory call to the radio room on departure, at each call point (P1, P2, P3) and on arrival. The interval between two calls does not exceed 60 minutes.
- Planning speeds: 50 km/h on tarmac road, 30 km/h on dirt road. The expected time at a call point is recalculated from the actual departure time.
- Overdue vehicle: a vehicle is overdue if it has not called 30 minutes after the expected time at a call point. At +30 min: the operator calls the driver (radio then phone), then the passengers, then the vehicle's satellite phone, and records each attempt in the log. At +45 min: they inform the security focal point. At +60 min: the security focal point activates the incident procedure.
- Only staff and passengers authorised on the movement order may board.
- On the radio: call signs only, no names of people, no mention of money or valuable cargo, no detailed route in advance.

Mark each answer honestly against the panel's grid: the total is calculated automatically.
Common mistakes that cost marks
- Calculating the expected time at P3 from the planned departure (14:30) instead of the actual departure (14:40).
- Waiting for the vehicle to arrive without applying the steps of the overdue procedure.
- Assuming that a departure planned by the base manager necessarily complies with the curfew.
- Not seeing the danger of announcing money on an open radio frequency.
- Replying "Copy that" to a request that breaks the rules instead of refusing and raising the alert.
